Job Feed
JobHawk surfaces relevant job postings based on your preferences. The feed aggregates listings from multiple sources, including LinkedIn and Google Jobs, deduplicates them, and uses AI to rank the best matches for you.
Setting Preferences
Your job preferences determine which postings appear in the feed. Configure them from Settings > Job Preferences.
Key preference fields:
- Target job titles -- the roles you are looking for (e.g., "Senior Software Engineer", "Product Manager").
- Locations -- cities, states, or "Remote" to match your geographic requirements.
- Seniority level -- entry-level, mid-level, senior, or executive.
- Work type -- remote, hybrid, or on-site.
- Company size -- startup, mid-market, or enterprise.
The feed runs daily and pulls postings that match your preferences from across sources. The more specific your preferences, the more relevant your results.
Tip
If you haven't set preferences yet, JobHawk sends a one-time reminder email encouraging you to configure them. Set preferences early to start receiving matches right away.
How Matching Works
JobHawk collects postings from multiple job boards and deduplicates them so the same role doesn't appear twice, even if it is listed on multiple sites. Each posting is then scored against your preferences using AI-powered ranking.
Postings are ranked by relevance and presented with the strongest matches first. On paid tiers, the system runs a deeper LLM-based analysis that considers your career profile, skills, and preference nuances beyond keyword matching.
Browsing Job Postings
The feed displays postings in a scrollable list. Each card shows:
- Job title and company name
- Location and remote flexibility
- Salary range (when available)
- Match score -- how well this posting aligns with your preferences
Click a posting to see the full description, requirements, and a link to the original listing.
Saving and Ignoring Jobs
As you browse the feed, you can take action on each posting:
- Save a posting to bookmark it for later review.
- Ignore a posting to remove it from your feed. Ignored postings do not appear again.
Saved postings are accessible from a filtered view so you can revisit them when ready to apply.
Adding Jobs to Applications
When you find a posting you want to pursue, you can add it directly to your application tracker:
- Open the posting from the feed.
- Click Add to Applications.
- JobHawk pre-fills the application form with the job title, company, location, and posting URL.
- Review the details, adjust if needed, and click Save.
The application appears on your Kanban board and is linked to the original posting for reference.
Email Notifications
JobHawk sends periodic emails about your job feed activity:
- Job matches email -- when new postings match your preferences, you receive a summary with the top results.
- Slim results email -- if a fetch cycle returns few or no matches, you receive a notification with suggestions for broadening your preferences.
