Creating an Offer

  1. Navigate to Offers and click Add Offer.
  2. Fill in the required fields:
    • Company name -- the company extending the offer.
    • Job title -- the position offered.
  3. Add optional details as available:
    • Location -- city, state, or remote designation.
    • Offer date -- when you received the offer.
    • Deadline -- when you need to respond.

Qualitative Assessment

Beyond the numbers, each offer captures your subjective evaluation:

  • Pros -- what excites you about this opportunity.
  • Cons -- concerns or trade-offs.
  • Gut feeling -- your intuitive reaction: excited, positive, neutral, hesitant, or negative.

These fields will feed into offer comparisons (coming soon) to balance data-driven analysis with your personal instincts.

Offer Status

Track each offer through its lifecycle:

Status Meaning
Pending Offer received, under consideration
Accepted You accepted the offer
Declined You declined the offer
Expired Deadline passed without a decision
Withdrawn Company withdrew the offer

Comparing Offers

Coming Soon

AI-powered offer comparison is under active development. The feature described below is not yet available.

Offer comparison will let you analyze multiple offers side by side. The comparison will use AI to evaluate offers across compensation, benefits, growth potential, and your qualitative notes.

The comparison analysis will adapt based on your employment status:

  • Employed -- factors in switching costs, tenure, vesting schedules, and whether the delta justifies the transition risk.
  • Unemployed -- focuses on offer-vs-offer analysis without switching costs, emphasizing compensation differences and growth potential.
  • Freelance -- highlights the benefits gap (healthcare, retirement, PTO) and the stability-vs-flexibility trade-off of moving to a salaried role.

Linking Offers to Applications

Offers can optionally link to a tracked application. When linked:

  • The offer appears in the application's detail view.
  • Interview notes and contacts from the application inform the comparison context.
  • If the application is deleted, the offer remains in your account (the link is simply removed).

Offers can also exist independently for opportunities that did not go through your tracked pipeline.
